Wedding reception disco, Winford, Bristol, Saturday 29th September 2012

This was an intimate wedding reception above the Prince of Waterloo in Winford which had been beautifully decorated to hide the fact that by day it was a sports bar. I was due to play background music until it was time for the first dance, but when I arrived the guests were hungry to get dancing so we were off before 7pm with some soul, funk and disco.

They chose the lovely Etta James classic 'At last' as their first song then I began to modernise the music as the night went on. Unfortunately as early as the night started it finished and the bride and groom had left before 10pm as the flight for their honeymoon was leaving in a few hours time. I played requests for the guests that stayed and then packed up nice and early - result!
