Wedding reception disco, Bristol Zoo Pavilion, Saturday 23rd July 2012

The Bride and Groom didn't give me any musical steers when I visited them for their consultation. There was nothing they didn't like and nothing that they especially wanted me to play, despite much digging from myself. This is never a problem though as I'm always flexible and quite happy to see what works best on the night.


However less than 15 minutes after I'd started a soulful set the bride came up and asked if I could put on the Macarena... little did I know that this would set the mood for the entire evening. They must have read my blog entry entitled One persons cheese is another persons chicken as music of the stilton variety was the order of the night.

One of the guests had previously worked at a holiday camp and was teaching everyone the dances, some of which I'd never seen before. It made up for the fact that many of the guests had gone home after the speeches and a great night was had by all who stayed on.
